The first half of the fiction depicts Li Bai’s legendary life, in the narration interspersed with 29 poems instead of the characters speech, including 22 poems recited by Li Bai. The poems help promoting the characters and the story, most of the poems written by anonymous in the type of Qijue or Qilv. The second part of the poetry anthology including 56 poems of Li Bai and 3 poems of Du Fu, arranges in order of types of Qigu, Wugu, Wulv, Qilv, Wupai, Wujue, Qijue. Compared with the “An Anthology of Tang Poems” written by Shen Deqian, the poems of Li Bai in the “Taibai poetry” are mainly in two types of Wujue, Qijue, and three themes of boudoir, parting, chanting, and the style of natural fresh. In 56 poems of Li Bai, there are also 38 poems collected in the “An Anthology of Tang Poems”, and 18 poems not.
