Xi’s thought on construction of ecological civilization is profound and extensive, with rich connotations. It has deeply illustrated the great values and productivity potential of ecological environment, clarified the vicissitudes of ecological environment and ups and downs of civilizations, interpreted the systematic engineering thoughts on ecological environment construction, analyzed the harmonious relationship between human and nature, and reconstructed the system building of ecological construction. Xi’s thought on construction of ecological civilization, inherited from the Marxist ecological civilization with further development, has made innovative contributions to China’s ecological civilization in the new era.
