Creative consciousness of style embodied in the novel makes her creation interrelates, expands and produces effects in two dimensions: one is the avant-garde literature at the same period of time, and the other is her later writing that is preserved in narrative of exploration and innovation consciousness. The exploration of and attempt on narrative structure and narrative techniques of The Female Meadow not only reach the peak state of Yan Geling’s early novel artistic achievement, but also have a unique influence on Yan Geling’s creation until now. And in one sense, it has not been caught up with and transcended later. With the help of claws and techniques of film narration, the sense of space in The Female Meadow is prominent, and a vector of time is added to the narrative segments with a sense of image, such as a feature shot of the film. A rich and fascinating artistic effect of novel text was reproduced through arrangement of these close-up like narrative clips and combination of events. The discourse of the novel and the openness of the characters reflected each other with the fictional nature of the novel. With reference to the concept of the core and subordination of structuralism narratology, this novel could be better interpreted.
