More than 70 murder cases were involved in and they could be divided into the following three types according to the reasons and ways of death: 1) Cases caused by the characters’ own deficiencies, such as carnal pleasure indulgence, anger and greed for treasure; 2) cases caused by their own behaviors: such as poisonous wine, indecent announcement and illegal activity; 3) cases caused by external factors: such as being scared to death, killed by mistake and beaten to death. Those settings of homicide cases help develop the stories and create the characters’ images.
