The nine editions of this book collected in China are the block-printed editions or the handwritten copies in Ming or Qing Dynasty but the edition collected in Seikado Bunko as the earliest edition in the world is a Yuan Dynasty block-printed edition which was collected by some famous bibliophiles such as Wang Wenyuan, Jin Tan, Wang Wenchen and his son Wang Shizhong, Yu Songnian, Lu Xinyuan. The Yuan Dynasty block-printed edition of Songxiang Ji provides some important research materials for studying the cultural activities of Ren Shilin and other literati, the complicated mentality of the scholars to the South Song Dynasty who lived in the South of Yangtze River and the spread of Taoism in the same area in the middle of Yuan Dynasty. Therefore, it has high value of collating different editions of Songxiang Xiansheng Wenji simultaneously.
