Based on the comprehensively collating the catalogue of poetry criticism, this article analyzes the categories, characteristics and functions of the catalogue of poetry criticism, and discusses the value of the catalogue in the study of poetry criticism. The catalogue of poetry criticism can be divided into three categories, namely the poetry criticism in ancient books, the specified poetics catalogue, and the catalogue of poetry collections. The poetry criticism in ancient books, on one side, makes the “poetry criticism” independent from “poetry reviews”; on the other side, it shows the editors' different views on the “poetic criticism.” The specified poetics catalogue not only is the basic achievement of poetry research, but also shows the status quo of the poetry's collation and research. In addition, it also provides reference to the poetry research and shows the developmental level of poetry creation and development.
