Firstly, this mode of shaping shows how the theme of Liu Yong's Ci was narrowly interpreted by editors and how Liu Yong's Ci was placed in the history of Ci research. Secondly, it embodies the aesthetic tendency of abandoning the vulgarity and preserving the elegance, and further constructs and improves the lexical theory of “enclosures in the fields.” What's more, it gives a new meaning to Liu Yong's Ci. The shaping effect largely determined the image of Liu Yong and his works in the field of modern Ci studies. Therefore, to inspect its mode will remind us the limit of this mode while inheriting it.
