Yeh, director of the Department of forei gn literature in Jinan University, employed Ma Chonggan as a journalist lecturer to conduct the education in journalism, which started the enlightenment of journalism. In August 1946, Feng Lieshan was hired as a professor and Dean of the journalism department, and the Department of journalism was thus formally established, and Feng put forward the goal of becoming “cradle of overseas Chinese press force,” creating a system of journalism education history. In October 1947, Jinan University hired Zhan Wenhu, editor in chief of the journalism press, as professor and Dean of journalism department until September 1949 when it was merged with the journalism Department of Fudan University.
