Chinese intellectuals, from worship to doubt, had changed their attitudes toward western culture and had started to attach unprecedented importance to sinology. Not only did Chinese intellectuals at this period actively promote the renaissance of sinology, but also they paid great attention to the Chinese traditional culture, particularly the summary of unique charm of sinology, which was different from the prosperity of sinology at the beginning period.
