From the survey of coal enterprises, the current industrial workers' occupational status promotion is still facing a “double dilemma”: one is the level of occupational status promotion, the other is the career transformation and promotion. Viewed from the perspective of group and class, the plight of industrial workers does not depend on the level of individual efforts and resources, but needs to be reflected from the social attitudes and institutional settings. Traditional values, combined with modern economic rationality, have shaped the current social attitude of disregarding industrial workers and unfair institutional arrangements.
