Such self-metaphorical characters and corresponding images are either heterogeneous or isomorphic or both, contrasting as well as complementary, which is conducive to portraying the characters more vividly and expressing the author's multi-layered ideological connotation and character quality. Meanwhile, it helps arrange structures and organize stories.
