Starting from Beidi Prefectures, he attacked the Qilian Mountain and Lede through Junqi River, Juyan River, Little Yuezhi. In the past, Juyan was generally interpreted as Lake Juyan in Ejina, Inner Mongolia. However, there is no need for Huo Qubing to bypass Lake Juyan to attack the Huns in Hexi (the west part of Yellow River). Therefore, the academic circles interpreted the Qilian Mountain attacked by Huo Qubing as the East Tianshan Mountain. However, three of the five places passed by Huo Qubing's western expedition, whose names are Junqi River, Juyan River, Little Yuezhi, Qilian Mountain and Lede, can be seen in the mileage slips found in Juyan and Xuanquan. Based on this, it can be seen that Juyan is actually in today's Jingtai County, Gansu Province.
