Using the industrial intelligence index and industrial structure advancement index, the paper also tests the impact of AI on China's UIS. It finds that the development of AI has significantly promoted China's UIS. After the financial crisis and during the “Twelfth Five-Year” period, supply-side structural reforms and policies have strengthened the promotion of AI, and the more obvious positive impact in the eastern region may stem from the advantages of industrial base and resource endowment. The promotion of AI is mainly realized by enhancing the relative influence on labor productivity and technology spillover effects of high-tech industries.
