The three generations of the Ton Tinqua family not only actively participated in Canton's foreign trade, but also presided over foreign trade in Ton Tinqua. During this period, he became the largest supplier to European merchants and one of the five general merchants leading Canton trade, making the family the most powerful family in Canton's foreign trade in the early Qing dynasty.
