This paper focuses on the concept of “aesthetic attention”, which is discussed in both aesthetic and philosophy of cognitive science, analyzes the new theories, represented by the aesthetician Bence Nanay, that defend aesthetic attention as a sui generis type of attention, and examines their common problems and inspirations. This article has four main parts.
